Information Collected - How We Use It
Because of our commitment to privacy and our understanding of the necessity for confidentiality in buying and selling businesses, BusinessBrokers.net strives to collect as little personally identifiable information as possible from its users. However, for some of our services, such as obtaining evaluation and benchmark reports, placing ads, making replies, we may need to collect some personally identifiable information from you in order to deliver these services to you and enable others to reply to your postings. The types of personal information collected at these pages are described in the sections below.

We do not collect any personally identifiable information from you while you use services such as our business-for-sale search and the reading of postings to the Buyer Classifieds. Any information entered in these search forms is not retained by BusinessBrokers.net .

The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history. We do not supplement information collected at our website with data from other sources, such as credit history to authorize purchases or marketing data from third parties.

A primary purpose of BusinessBrokers.net is to provide publicly searchable databases of classified ads and other postings. Therefore, much of information submitted by you to these services is done so with the intent that we make the information public knowledge. Therefore, we define personally identifiable information as your email address and credit card information. We strive to keep this information confidential, as described in this Privacy Policy. However, users are welcome to disclose their email address in the text of their postings if they desire. The posting forms also note other items that may typically be considered personally identifiable information, which we allow users the option to disclose (such as name and phone number) or provide other means to make the publicly disclosed information more confidential.

Business Listing and Broker Listing Order Forms
We request information from you when you fill out our ad posting form. You must provide a valid email address so that you can receive inquiries to your ad, as well as email correspondence from BusinessBrokers.net regarding the status of your ad. You must also provide your credit card number and expiration date to enable us to charge the card for the ad fee (if and when our service or your ad is no longer free).

The public information regarding your business-for-sale is made available through our searchable databases on BusinessBrokers.net and on the sites of our co-branded partners, as well as through our broker's database and our Listing Agent notification service. The financial data you provide about your business-for-sale (such as the asking price, gross income and cash flow) may be included in our aggregate statistics for our Business Pricing Report product.

Your email address and credit card information remain confidential and will not be distributed to any outside parties, except as necessary to process the charge for the listing and verify the sale.

Buyer Classifieds
To post an ad to the Buyer Classifieds, we require a valid email address so that you can receive inquiries to your posting through our blind email system in which your email address is not revealed. Your email address is also used as your log-on ID to enable you to later sign on to your posting to edit or delete it.

In posting to the Buyer Classifieds, all of the information regarding the type of business that you are seeking will be made available to the general public and to our member brokers. You may delete your posting at any time by returning to the Board area and logging into your ad and updating that information.

Listings Agent
If you wish to subscribe to our Listing Agent service, we ask for the email address to which you want the new listings delivered and for brief information regarding the types of listings you are interested in receiving. Your email address always remains private and is not sold or supplied to any third parties.

To unsubscribe from our Listing Agent, simply return to the Listing Agent section of BusinessBrokers.net and log into your member area to update that information (a link to this page will appear at the bottom of every email we send to you.)

Replying to an Ad
When you reply to any of the postings on BusinessBrokers.net through our custom reply forms, your reply is sent through our servers to the intended party. We do not sell or distribute to any outside party, any of the information submitted in the reply form.

Email Correspondence
If you send an email to BusinessBrokers.net , we use your return email address to answer your inquiry or comment. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. On rare occasions, if ever, BusinessBrokers.net may send registered users an email announcement regarding a change in our service that affects their use of it.
